Stow Film Lounge presents in collaboration with Enfield Council : THE PERSONAL HISTORY OF DAVID COPPERFIELD (Armando Iannucci, 2019, Cert PG, 119mins)

The first ever screening at Forty Hall Estate is an exquisite British comedy with an all star cast, telling the much loved Dickensian tale of THE PERSONAL HISTORY OF DAVID COPERFIELD from childhood to maturity, with his own adventures and the web of friends and enemies he meets along his way.

From birth to infancy, from adolescence to adulthood, the good -hearted David Copperfield (Dev Patel) is surrounded by kindness, wickedness, poverty and wealth, as he meets an array of remarkable characters in Victorian England as he sets out to be a writer, in a quest for family, friendship, romance and success.

Acclaimed as "A wonderfully entertaining adaptation full to bursting with fantastic comic performances". This showcases the best of British, with contempt casting and very much in the well loved Dickensian cinematic tradition. We are honoured to be screening this on the stunning lawn behind the main house with the Cedar of Lebanon, one of the great trees of London, as the backdrop.

So bring your own chair, blanket and a picnic as CYCLE -IN CINEMA comes to Enfield and promotes sustainable screenings and encourages the audience to attend on bikes, trikes, skateboards, prams, scooters and all manner of people -powered wheels, for an environmentally friendly film experience.
